Melbourne Demons 2023 Mens Indigenous Guernsey

Calling himself a sand artist, Lowell Hunter created the design of the Melbourne Demons 2023 Indigenous Guernsey by carving the design into the sand with his feet. The work was then captured and digitised for the jersey. Fire is in the middle of the artwork, emphasising the importance of storytelling among First Nations culture where people would meet around the fire and trade tales. The sun sits at the top of the artwork reminding fans the importance of moving forwards towards a reconciled Australia. The back of the guernsey features the names of all Melbourne Football Club's Indigenous players. The club will wear the design with pride in the Doug Nicholls Round and play under the name of the Narrm Football Club.
