Zoe Raymond's 'Stand Your Ground' artwork draws inspiration from the story of Pemulwuy, the Bidjigal warrior who led his people into combat against the colonists in the 1800s. His silhouette sit in the bottom left corner of the St George Illawarra 2023 Indigenous Jersey. He watches over the country with a trail of spears, replicating his 12-year fight against colonists. Further up the jersey the different communities that make up the St George Illawarra region are represented. The Dragons players are shown in U shapes at the top with spears lining it, showing them standing their ground in and outside of the field.
